About Yunker Farm | Children's Museum

Fargo, North Dakota

Fargo is the biggest city in North Dakota with a population of about 96,000 people. The city was founded in 1871. It was an early stopping point for steamboats on the Red River in the 1870's and 1880's. The city was originally named “Centralia” but renamed “Fargo” in order of the Northern Pacific Railway director and Wells Fargo Express Company founder, William Fargo.

Yunker Farm/Children's Museum Ghosts and Strange Events:

A particular door in the Children's Museum becomes unlocked regularly without good explanation. There is only one person with a key and that person is no where in the the vicinity. A variety of ghostly activities take place here. Employees call the resident ghost “Vanessa”. Often, staff report feeling like they are not alone even when they are.
