Mount Ayr is located in southwestern Iowa. It is the county seat of Ringgold County. Mount Ayr has a population of about 2,000 residents.

Tedrow Cemtery is located a few miles southeast of Mount Ayr, Iowa.

Recently, the Tedrow Cemetery was severely vandalized. The vandals caused almost $20,000 worth of damage. Sadly, 40 headstones were knocked over and broken. Tedrow Cemetery is a pioneer cemetery with a lot of history and older gravesites. It is important that if you decide to venture into Tedrow Cemetery, that you get permission to visit and act responsibly while you are there.

Tedrow Cemetery Haunting:

In the wooded areas surrounding the cemetery, people report a variety of phenomena. Strange lights have been observed by witnesses at Tedrow Cemetery. Visitors have reported have unexplainable problems with their vehicles in the middle of the night at this location.

Visitors report feeling and hearing that someone is running past them. They also report strange unexplainable sounds as well as disembodied moaning sounds.

Shadow people have been reported at this location.

Rumors about ceremonial and ritual activities at this location have been used to explain some of the paranormal reports that have been made at Tedrow.

This kind of BS gets my blood boiling for 3 reasons: 1) You lifted photographs that I didn't authorize off of Tedrow Cemetery's webpages with IAGenWeb. 2) This cemetery IS NOT haunted. It was merely teenagers sitting around a camp fire in the 1950/60's trying to scare one another. Then the book "Haunted Iowa" picked it up and gave precise driving directions, which led to the destruction of 40 gravestones - white marble ones over 100 years old for children
